How it works
Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the most abundant renewable carbon sources on Earth. At Commando Fuels, we use hemp biomass, the fibrous plant material left after harvesting to create next-generation fuels and additives.
Our process uses advanced conversion technologies to turn hemp into usable energy products. One method, called pyrolysis, heats hemp biomass in a low-oxygen environment to create energy-rich liquids that can be upgraded to various types of fuels.
We also produce biodiesel using transesterification. In simple terms, the natural oils from hemp seeds are refined and converted into a cleaner-burning diesel fuel that can work with existing diesel engines and infrastructure.
